In the midst of everything going on I was able to attend a luncheon today, before the rosary, where Lisa See spoke about her new book Shanghai Girls. I was fortunate enough (thanks to my dear friend Jill) to spend a day with Lisa in Los Angeles in the summer of 2007. Lisa took us to lunch and then gave us a tour of Chinatown where we met members of her family. If you check out page 314 of the book the four of us that took the trip to Los Angeles are acknowledged. What an honor. Can't wait to start the book.
